T6.1 MFSW fitted to a T6 ?

Hey there :) I've just joined the Forum and I am new to VW as I've switched from a A35 Mercedes to a T6 Van. This is my first post so excuse me if this has already been covered.

- I have a T6 2019 Model Startline Van with a plastic steering wheel. I don't have SAT Nav etc.. but my phone connects via bluetooth.

The left stalk has no Cruise Control and the Right stalk does have Trip

I have a 2022 T6.1 Steering wheel which is the image below - I don't know what model variant it comes from but it does have these buttons as you can see which I don't know what the functions are.

Originally I bought this to only have a soft leather grip and possibly control my OEM headunit volume etc. But before I start stripping off the plastic wheel, can you advise me on:

what functions I can actually get working on this replacement wheel?
what wiring loom would I need? and where can I get that?

If anyone on here has fitted this wheel style of wheel and can provide info on connections then that would really help me.

Thank you

Thanks

what functions I can actually get working on this replacement wheel?
Welcome!
I would say - none - unfortunately. Electronics in T6 and T6.1 are very different (different generations) so in general parts are not interchangeable between T6 and T6.1.
More details about T6 MFSW retrofit:

I just got the same steering wheel but also with DSG paddles and touch controller (from 2023 POLO). My existing airbag fits if I remove the touch sensor controller.
I've read countless threads on retrofitting cruise control to a T6 and Polo MSFW was suggested, but I guess most of the work on this was done in 2020 before the MQB made its' way to Polo...
Anyway, I assume my two options are:
- Get compatible MFSW buttons with cruise control and DSG paddles connectors (I have DSG so would like these to work). Any idea on the correct part number?
- Get the MQB-PQ converter, I only found one from Greece Pardon our interruption..., is there a UK source for these? I'm happy to solder and modify, I have lots of soldering experience.

Is it the same struggle on an t6 manufactured 2015/10 with cruise control and manual gearbox (no paddles) to fit the t6.1 steering wheel?

Where can you get that adapter? It still needs coding with it?

These are made by Evangelis and his brother.
I highly recommend their products.
Developed to the highest standards including full VCDS tweaking.
I ended up buying one of these MQB-PQ converters and fitting it. I got it working, and Evangelis was very helpful throughout the whole process and answered all questions promptly.
It looks very nice and all the the buttons work including DSG paddles, but it would have been much easier to get a compatible MFSW with CCS.
For anyone attempting these, few pitfalls to note:
- The MFSW i purchased has a 6 way connector for the airbag loom, my original MFSW loom only had 5 pins. However, only 3 pins actually need connecting, so it is possible to solder 3 wires directly onto the connector and solder to the airbag loom pins. I could not find the 6 pin loom for a reasonable price, so I soldered directly.
- The original airbag can be made to fit but it's not straightforward. The mounting lugs are identical, but there are some extra bits on the steering wheel that need grinding down, otherwise they push onto the horn contact plate. Would recommend getting steering wheel with the correct airbag in the first place.
- If you don't have CCS from factory, need to run the wire from T10/1 to the dash as per the standard retrofit guides.
- In total, 7 wires from the emulator need soldering/splicing into the existing harness.
would not attempt unless you are comfortable with soldering in very tight space.
