T6.1 new order delays

I’ve been told that my kombi is scheduled for build in January. That’s if there’s enough parts and Germany doesn’t go into lockdown! Fingers crossed for March delivery to avoid the price rise.

From what I read, that’s going to be tight

Great news for you guys. I ordered mine 2 months later, so maybe in another two months who knows!

our van was ordered late March and arrived at the dealers/van converters over 2 weeks ago. Still with the wheelchair conversion company until early March.

So near yet so far LOL

I just ordered a new crafter was told 10 month wait so plenty of time to enjoy the old T6 next summer

No its not the dealer, he said he'd just up our discount to make the numbers the same but he can't as its contract hire. Apparently the van is never his, vw pay him a fee for handling the sale and that's all.
That’s sounds like a mistake at VW’s end. And presumably you have a written order with the price you agreed as well. So why are the finance side trying to stiff you, rather than sucking it up, which is what they should be doing?

They really are bad stewards with their sharp practices. I’m assuming that it being a contract hire gave them a bit more wriggle room than an outright purchase.

I feel for people waiting ages for their van who are then getting stiffed as delivery approaches. I don’t care how contractually compliant they are on this - I just don’t like bully boys!

And, as much as you’d love to tell them to “do one” you know they’d be delighted as they can easily shift the van in the current market for even more profit.

It finally arrived, 63 weeks and 1 day since the order was placed and I am beyond chuffed, hang in their all it does finally happen. No full photos yet as it is still as out the factory covered in build stickers and plastic wrap on everything, off for ppf and ceramic coat Monday!

Looks great! I’m very interested to know more about the ppf once it’s done. Considering that for mine when it comes.

God knows, apparently a lot of it is maintenance charge as its on full service but 35k miles a year.
