T6.1 overhead cubby-hole ideas

There's wires, not just lights, but security alarms and other important stuff, so if they get pulled they may cause dashboard error etc?

In short, no it's not a neat cavity

I'll have another look at mine with a view to designing a pocket or cubby hole, I have a 3D printer so I could make such a thing if it's possible, and a few folk wanted them.
So, do you have any ideas now?

I've had mine in bits, there's very little space behind to fit a drawer or anything else really, IMO not worth it.

However it was a useful space for me to fit this, it reads out the solar/B2B data, and tells me if the van is level;

I made the mistake of taking this out,can only be put back properly with maybe a suction stopper,dare not remove the full thing as a lot of wires and safety stuff in there and they never go back properly even if you use a tool removal kit,im going to cut some hard flooring carpet in there and cut to size so i can put my shades in there but wish i would have left it alone!

Hi T6Jay,
Sorry this is a lifetime after your post, but I'm fitting a dashcam and looking for power - did you source 12vdc from inside the upper console, or thread a power cable down the A pillar to the fusebox?

I keep my knives and forks in it and made a magnetic carpeted cover that just clips on. They aren’t loose knives and forks btw lol, the travel packs in a pouch x2 of them.
