Hi guys. I extensively searched the forum with no answer. Car is no longer under warranty.
The sliding door does not close as the back latch is stuck, I think on open position, see pics
1. I replaced a faulty fuse (#18, 5amp on the fuse panel) so I suspect something went bad with the latching mechanism that caused the issue.
2. When I try to close the door and the sensor touches the contacts, and then I use the internal handle, I can hear and feel that the latching mechanism activates.
3. I try unsuccessfully to unscrew the latch
4. When I try to close the door, it "hard stops", tested by a hard slam, so no "bouncing back".
5. It seems the latch is in open position, as it seems the closing pin is retracted, see pic 2
All your help is highly appreciated as I cannot use the car as it is.
