T6.1 splitter options

I've got a 6.1 on order and am currently looking at splitter options, I've found the Leighton and ABT ones but am not prepared to spend 1k on one for a vehical that will spend a lot of it's time on a campsite, my carbon one for my BMW was half that!

I had a maxton one on my 5.1 but a lot of the similar ones for the 6.1 sit a little too far out at the sides for my liking, plus this time would prefer something colour coded.

If anyone knows of any please post up pics or share links.

Thanks, yes have had a look at the usual companies and nothing really out there, and some even show T6 splitters under the T6.1 section which is really annoying!

You are in the same position as most of us. Nothing out there is ‘grabbing’ me at the mo. And like you, I don’t want to spend, close to £1.5k (painted and fitted) on one. I’m prob going to go vw carbon and wrapping it matt black, and see how it lasts. Should be all in for about £160

VW carbon, do you have a link as not seen that, the only VW one I’ve seen is £950 from main dealer.

I do like that, just being fibreglass worries me, how is it holding up to stone chips?

By the way, the red on your grills, is it wrapped, painted or clip on?

At the moment holding up well, but it has only been 3.5k miles...I reckon I can get it repainted every year for a while before I will hit £1,000k though, so I sleep easy!

Grille is wrapped...I have not yet found a clip-on solution for 6.1 and didn’t like the permanence of painting, so am happy with it wrapped

Yep underneath the red is chrome on mine as well, but perhaps you meant all of the upper grille?...not seen that before.

I haven’t gone black on the rest of the grille at this stage...am thinking that might be better done as a paint job when the grille has to come off in any event. Also, if I do that, the lower plastic part where the licence plate is will need to go the same way...not quite sure I like that look yet so will keep it as is for the moment

Looking smart. How did the lower strip work out, mine is textured plastic, so unsure if the film would adhere?? Did you do any prep before the wrap??

I de-chromed mine in matt black, but think I might add some colour. Thanks
