T6.1 Sportline black edition - release date

Hi,

Just ordered a sportline black edition but haven't been given a delivery date yet. Wondered if anyone else has been given a date?

I have 2 black Edition Kombi on order one for me and one for my Business partner. If one turns up February the other one will turn up in March but I might have the dealer hold onto the February one until March so that they are both on the new registration that’s if they turn up next year The dealer told me if I order a normal sport line today the earliest anybody would get delivery is April 2023 apparently vw Commercial dealers can only have one sport line per month
Which is madness because the last time I ordered a new transporter which was about three years ago it was eight weeks from the date of ordering

I saw posted on here how someone had such a delay he suggested to stealer that he wait (a week or two) for the van to be registered after March and was told he’d lose some discount given if he did

Even if it was meant to be 2022, “due in March 2022” would also be a lie.

There would be no build date to back up that date

Was a typo, should have been 2022.
Sportline Kombi was ordered in April for delivery in March next year, now pushed back to expected September delivery.
I've had to extend my VWFS agreement for another 6 months.

It was delivered this morning with their demo ...
Hopefully collecting Monday 22nd .. need a registration for insurance ,transfer the money & stuff ..
They go in workshop for prep & asked for them adjust those coilovers .

Your lucky think it’s going to be Easter by the time I see my mine at present progress, had two build dates and now nothing. Still can’t see the logic of going a head and sending Black editions out as demos and making us wait. I suppose at least it should be a 22 plate.

Indeed, why are VW drumming up interest a a vehicle they can't readily supply? But there again, VW are also demanding the dealerships meet their sales targets. It's all just crackers!

Yes that is some wait ... from order mine has been around 8 months .That is stuff of dreams lately
Makes no sense having demos in dealers, when all orders have been done before demo hit showroom , other than the massive above rrp price tag dealer gets , 6 month from know .

Spoke to dealer again today week 43 still in build , not progressed , week 39 one still in wales , kombis, both ordered 4th April , dealer said they have 5 ordered but these are the only two that have progressed , all vans delivered after end of March next year will face the new price rise !

How does that work, I signed an agreed contract at a certain price, i will be right pi££ed off if I have to pay over and above the deal that was agreed due to VW not fulfilling at their end I did enquire about changing the passenger seat from bench to a captain seat, I was informed this would unlock the agreed price and at that time increase it by £1600 due to there being two price increases, i decided I liked the bench seat lol.

You need to actually your terms and conditions.

There’s plenty clauses that allow both them and you to cancel the order. Price increase being one of them.

It will however be dealer dependant on the decision to enforce the agreement terms.

I would bring that decision to the attention of the media, mainstream and social.

To bring in price increases on vehicles not delivered because of A: parts shortages and B: their own factory mis-management and Crioritising other countries over the UK, is beyond acceptable.
