T6.1 Sportline black edition - release date

I asked my dealer when I collected mine what the situation is with delivery etc, he confirmed that they are only allocated one sportline a month. He had orderers going well into the end of next year. Also I’ve heard that not all orders may get fulfilled because to many orders have been taken.
I did speak to the guys from the converters to ask how many black editions were being made, the response was not many at all and I got the sense that not many more were being made from how they responded.

As I posted above, the type approval paperwork indicates mine was number 201.

Taken a while to do that, so can’t be huge numbers of black editions.

I heard that too. My local dealer has one BE inside the showroom and one of the guys must be using one as a company car.

I’ve checked my paperwork and nothing indicates a number. When I spoke to the guys that make them, they said less the 100 kombi BE had been made, that was only last week.

An interesting thing i noticed on the conversion type approval document from Edward Davies Commercials, mine has the sequential number 201.

I was told by my dealer only 200 were being made. I originally thought it way 1000 being 50% PV and 50%Kombi’s
I have tried to get some definite answers on this. Converters said similar to what my dealer has said. Who knows ?

I think it will be low hundreds , major parts shortages , think they could put an end to production on these at any time

BE and normal Sportline isn’t a massive difference in parts. Head unit plus a few other visual things.

I was told in person that only about 50 BE kombi’s had passed through and had been built, then the conversation went along the line of (we are not sure if many more will be built) I definitely think orders may get cancelled. I mentioned about the 1000 being made and was told even if that’s what was sold, it would not be produced. The realistic number will be low.

Got a confirmed build week 8 so hopefully they will have everything to put it together , but could be April/May before I see it.

Oh and the lwb kombi sportline we ordered same time last may is due to be built 3rd week of may, with us mid June. Shortage on tailgates I was told

I was also told about delays with parking sensors and active lane assist/side assist, towbars, and electric latching.
All of which are on my 17th April LWB Kombi order.

Mine (Sportline Kombi) has arrived at the dealership picking it up March 1st I only ordered it in January this year so I've had a bit of jammyness there was a cancelled order on the books that they mentioned when I bought a kombi for the wife for Xmas... couldnt fit 3 isofix car seats in our previous vehicles and they must of put something in the Tea at the dealership

Becoming common as muck in the Aberdeen area!

Never saw one on the road until I collected mine. But have now seen a panel van Electrician liveried one, and a Kombi on the dualler and a mate flashed one just near my house that wasn’t me!
