T6.1 Sportline Black Edition

Dealer told me ha had another being delivered next week to Shetland as well , what are the chances !

New van day was ruined by a misaligned front bumper. Line was awful with it touching one end and gap the other. Probably going to have to go back to wales 0A2AA296-43F0-4BB5-B4AE-638D61D62D02.png

Have fully sound deadened the rear of the van. Dodo mat floor sides and roof, then 10mm thermoliner on roof and sides, then thermo fleece where possible. Made a decent difference. Still got outside arch liners to do when it warms up a bit.

Fitted some rear hatch trim panels, neater and protects the paint. Will probably get re-trimmed when i do the trim panels. Arch covers still to arrive.

I’m not spray gluing any carpet to the interior exposed paint. I like the exposed paint finish with full trimmed panels.

I have had the converters from wales come out to me now 4 times ! and I have also been to wales myself.

I have just ordered these for mine. Looks really good

Given the price of these things, it's shocking that anyone would need to do such jobs.

I was thinking that, imagine buying a brand new BMW or Merc and having to take it apart to make it more comfortable and have water pissing in everywhere :slow rofl:

The ones on my van slot under the tailgate rubber on the back edge and the van side fixes to a few of those panel clips.

They’re not too secure to be honest and when I’m carpeting I’m going to take them out.

After driving the demo for 2 days the parking sensors are doing my head in. Constantly going off when breaking at slow speed. Any ideas on how to fix? They should be higher up. Pick my actual van up this morning

Mine went to wales to have the seats sorted out, I brought the parking sensors issue up with them. I was told If you have had the van lowered on the adjustable suspension it causes it to go off. Seems odd to supply a van with adjustable suspension but then the parking sensors don’t work correctly? No fix so I’m told!

The sensors work fine, the van is just too low. Its the exact same on any T6.1

Just switch them to manual activation, stops the front coming on. At slow speed the system thinks you might be parking / manouvering, so it activates them, and the height of the van sometime sets them off them same coming close to another car in traffic.

The rears still come on with reverse.

The slot behind the rear trim panels, and under the edge of the rubber seal. Also under the load mat and the rear threshold cover. Plenty secure enough.

I like them, protects the paint, without spray glue and carpet all over it.
VW offer them as accessory too, same as the wheel arch covers - if you want to pay more for the same thing with a VW group sticker on the packet.

Ah that explains why mine feel so loose, they haven't put them behind the panels!

Something to sort out later today :D

Thats great thanks, do you think there is enough room for it to go over carpet?
