It's probably easiest just to take it along to Thompson or similar, after all they will need the original key to cut?
If you know the bitting theoretically you can order one to be delivered but if it doesn't work any savings are moot compared to having a key cutter actually copy the original?

These guys have two sizes for the plastic blanks, for my T6 I used the hu66 and it works fine, my local locksmith cut and filed it to size. The only thing is as it doesn’t have a transponder the alarm goes off when you open it so you have to be able to grab the electronic key quick. Works great for surfing, out on the bike. Etc.

I also used the Audi blank cover and holder and fitted it to the glovebox.

Thanks - this is what I'm finding. I can cut almost anything up to a T5 key, and some early T6 keys, but can't find a blank for the T6.1.
