T6 2018 4 motion Bilstein B14 Coil Over Noise (Rear Rattle)

My b14’s are knocking on rear. They have been doing it for a while but only now been able to get in the back of the van and get the Mrs to drive. The knock is coming through the floor on the near side directly above the suspension.

The faulty batch of shocks, do they have any numbers which I can look for?
I don’t know for curtain if it is the shock but reading all problems on here it might well be.
Once Christmas is out the way I’ll try putting the stock shocks back on and give it a try

stock shocks will fix the issue. Exactly the same problem as mine....

It’s the top bushes they need to have nobbles on them

after new year I can send you a photo

T6 suffer this issue big time

been there done it several times

go down the road with stock shocks and the noise will be gone

Does the stock shocks effect the ride?
Just annoyed for the cost of them that they haven’t lasted 10k

If someone can sort me out with making my shocks how they’re meant to be (replace top bushings) then that’d be ace!

The reason for fitting better shocks is to get better ride , Fitting standard shocks is a complete step backwards sadly .

I’m Sure we still have some of the modified warranty replacement shocks in stock

Is/was your noise similar to a tow hitch rattle when a trailer is attached. that’s how my old man described it yesterday when we spend a few hours trying to pin point it.

Took all the seats out and anything else I had in the back just to make sure it wasn’t something silly making a noise. Then drove about slowly while one of us was in the back trying to pin point the noise and it sounded like it was coming from directly under the floor inline with the two wheel arches. Even ruled out the tailgate by opening it a bit incase it was the latch rattling.

put it up on some ramps and everything looked fine and nothing obvious going on. If I jump in the back I can not replicate the issue, seems to be only when driving .
only thing I can do now is take off bit by bit and swap it back to stock items.
So pissed of with the van, one year old and had nothing but problems.

Swap out the shocks for stock and if that doesn’t solve it, take it to dealer. Pretty positive that will be answer tho

@JonB bit of a while ago but read your rattle issue and I seem to be have a similar noise, only thing is all my suspension etc is stock, wondered if you got anywhere/found the issue?
