T6 Caravelle electric sliding and latching door dead - please help

I must admit I'm verging towards heat failure rather than water - most car components have heavy conformal coating on and that looks the same. Unless it's the terminals there it should have been happy with water running over it just about.
Is there evidence of water on the bodywork?

Yes water there, so going to move to different location.
Common problem with water mentioned in German forums.
This controller is right in the corner behind aircon unit, i can see why it's wet.
Going to move it to the wheel arch area, but will have to move the earth.
