T6 DSG flywheel replacment

Hi, I have had a good search around but can’t find a definitive answer. Hope someone here can help.
I have a 2016 T6 lwb with a dsg gearbox. It has 80k on the clock and the duel mass is progressively getting noisy and I’m starting to feel a little vibration at low rpm in high gears so I guess it’s time for replacement.
My question is, is it worth getting the clutch replaced at the same time? It has no other issues and the drive is otherwise smooth.
Also any recommendations for a decent garage to do the job Buckinghamshire area.
Any help or advise greatly appreciated

Thanks Glen

I can only speak for myself but it were my van i would also replace the clutch, its already done 80k same as the dual mass
you will save a fortune on labour should you have to do it twice.

The DSG dual clutch pack, seals and gearbox cover plate are a lot more expensive than a manual dry clutch - £600 ish. The DSG clutches should last a lot longer than 80K, so unless the van has done entirely city driving, or has been absolutely thrashed, I can't see the point. if the van was on 200K+ then I'd change them.
It's a difficult choice, as it's a lot more expense, but does give peace of mind a very long way down the line. So depends on current budget, and how long you keep the van, and annual mileage. Another thing to note, if not already, is the DSG oil needs its second change at 80K.

Thank you for the reply’s.
I was joust going to go the whole hog and get the lot done. Then I read somewhere that the clutches should be good for 200k+
It had a full service inc dsg oil and filter about 8k ago when I first bought the van as the history was vague
I’m not planning on getting rid any time soon so I guess it’s worth just doing whole lot for piece of mind.
Any recommendations on a qualified garage? I have so far been quoted £2900 all in from a vw specialist using genuine parts.
Based high Wycombe area

Thanks

You should be fine just replacing the dual mass flywheel, as has been mentioned above the clutch should be fine. We have done quite a few flywheels on DSG Transporters. We are more than happy to quote for you, if a couple of hours isn’t too far for you to travel?

Hi and thanks for the offer. I’d rather find someone localish if possible as I need to fit it in around work etc and it’s my only vehicle.
Appreciate your reply though thank you.
