Hi all,
Looking to get a remap on my van at present 150hp. Wanted to know if this effects the adblue system.
I find the van sluggish in slow moving traffic, especially in 2nd gear almost a times stopping the engine. Hence the
Upgrade
Thanks Dave

Have you had a diagnostic done on your van ?
You should have plenty power in 2nd with 150bhp.
I’d be making sure my van was running right before mapping it.

Yes van runs fine no issues. It's always been like this since purchase 3yrs ago. Has regular Bosch service centre services, etc

If you go down that line, use somebody reputable.
The tuning company should put the van on the rolling road and see what it produces power wise prior to remap.
If the van isn’t doing original (or close) numbers, then it needs further attention.
If the van is running original numbers, have it remapped and you’ll certainly notice a difference.

Revo have a map for yur van which vastly improves the pull, gears and overall driveability. We are a REVO sealer bu any dealer can help you out. Makes such a difference.

I've got the same van and engine and it's certainly not slow in second.

The previous owner didn't mention getting it remapped but I do wonder if it is as it feels like it's pretty nippy for the size/engine.

So this probably isn't very helpful as I'm not 100% sure if it is the same.

I’ve got a 150 dsg camper, normally full with kit and mines decent in second. Might be worth having someone have a poke around it to see if it does have an issue.

I've got a LWB, full camper conversion, was 102bhp. Took it to mpg remaps in Uttoxeter and it came out 164bhp, big torque gains, about 10mpg better fuel.

Certainly doesn't sound right. Our fully loaded 150hp camper pulls like a train in 2nd (definitely NOT remapped as had since new). Is your daily driver a Ferrari perchance?

Whys that?
340NM torque limit on the 5 cog unit. That doesn't leave a lot of wiggle room for extra grunt on a 150 which runs close to 340NM. I'm no expert but it wouldn't surprise me if VW set a torque limit on 1st and 2nd to protect the transmission.
