Squint and it could be a 15 year old T5. Not good enough VW. Look even closer and it shares over 50% parts with a 15 yr old T5. Somewhere in Germany a load of VW execs are laughing their heads off at us. I think my current VW is my last unless there is a proper T7 out soon.

The T6.1 is going to be offered in an electric variant, so no need to wait until the T7.
It looks quite short, and on a slightly lower part of the roof; throw in a little dropped suspension; and it'll be right
The dashboard looks like it has been copied fron the Proace/Dispatch/Expert

I'm sure you're right about the 50% parts bit but I have no problem with the van looking like a T5. To my eyes they pretty much got the general shape of a van perfect with the T5. No need to change anything major. Just have LEDs as standard etc.
I’d be interested in a T6.1 hybrid sportline...
Will wait to see how it all unfolds, I like the initial pictures but feel diesel power has had its day, adblue and too many regens for my liking! Full electric is’nt quite ready yet with range and infrastructure.
A 2.0 tsi hybrid would make me change more than just a facelift alone, although the new dash looks nice!...

Not directly connected but the A4 was in the garage today and salesman gave me the new Q8 demo instead of a courtesy car, lovely car, smooth ride, super quiet and plenty of power. However I couldn't live with all those touch screens, even though they are haptic, still struggle to know if it is actually doing anything and jeez the mess of finger prints everywhere looked awful. There is also a large expanse of black gloss on the dash and all it does is catch reflections, really not nice. Give me buttons any day of the week (maybe its just my age), hope this takes a long time to reach the transporter.
An under powered 2.0TSI hybrid wouldn't do the job for most people, but something like the Volvo hybrid system would work....but thats not going to happen. I think VW will be going full electric, with no range and no load carrying capacity.....or a diesel.
Lithium batteries when beyond serviceable life, have to be one of the most polluting waste products in industry. I can’t see a demise in commercial diesel vehicles for some time to come. Mining the materials to manufacture thems ain’t too good for the environment either.
This is the 2019 Multivan, and yes it was a bugger to get a photo of! Interior, take the dash out and it’s all as was effectively. Exterior wise it’s just the front facelifted.

Light switch at your knees, cup holders out of reach on the dash, no glovebox lid, no dash top thingy lid..... Do VW engineers not read the T6 forum?!?! Or was the T6.1 design budget burst when they decided to fit H7 headlights as standard? Sorry chaps. That's your lot
Looks like you get a cig lighter as well as h7, no wonder no budget left
Been to my VW dealer today for a recall issue and as per normal they have no idea when this T6.1 will be available to order................................................................................................
