T6 to T5.1 front end: Will it or won’t it fit?

Looking to replace my T6 sportline one.

Thanks @T6Paul, it is a really great looking front end. It was on my van when I bought it, but I know that it's only available from a competitor of mine, Van Haven in Dorset, as it is their own bespoke design. Sadly for any customers, it's £800 for them to supply and fit and they will not offer it as supply only as other forum members have previously found out.

As it is a competitors bespoke product I have now removed it from my own van, but if I'm honest, I miss it! Due to the fact that I use my van to promote my own business, I felt that when I started the business it wasn't right to have another companies work/products on my van. I've already removed and replaced all of the sound deadening, lining, carpet, suspension etc. There was nothing wrong with what was already in there, but it didn't feel right for it not to be my own work. The front end was the penultimate change and all that's left now is the leather seats, which will soon be removed once I've established my own designs with a local upholsterer (look out for that in the coming weeks).

I am considering developing my own bespoke front end, which of course would be the best looking one available , but I'm in the very early stages of establishing the costs involved so it'll be a long way off and might never happen!

Daft question but do you still have the Van Haven front spoiler, happy to offer for it if you have?

I am keen to replace the sportline lower bumper, it doesn't work IMO.

I think the T5.1 lower spoiler looks great but nothing on the market even remotely like it. Interested to see what you have in mind for your offering.

I like the way it blends into the front bumper, can you get a lower spoiler for it?

Thank mate ....there is no splitter for it but i added a cheap rubber thing that look ok actually.

My only gripe about it is that from the side it's lower than the rest of the van and does not follow the side lines.

oh wouldn't mind that too much. I am surprised there is no lip spoiler on the market for it though.

Probably like ChrisR’s VanHaven, it’s their own and not much demand.

Mine from the side...........see what i mean about the front much lower and does not flow with the rest of the van.

Thats works for me but nothing on the web for them, not even on Leightons site.

What about the one from Vanstyle?? Cheap but maybe worth trying to see if you like a non sportline on your van

You weren't the only one hoping to get your hands on it I'm afraid fella. I had already offered it to another forum member who had been keen on it for ages and it's gone to him.

The 5.1 Sportline was just stunning. T6 Sportline was disappointing by comparison. T6.1 has some really nice options, the LV one is nice, the VW (lower part of the ABT) is a really nice subtle option, but the T6 needs some help doesn't it. Now if only I used to work in development for an aerospace engineering composite manufacturing company and had a few contacts in that industry that might be able to help...... oh, wait a minute, I think I did......

Totally and utterly agree, the T5.1 front bumper looks way more aggressive @ChrisR. Doesn't @Jlo work in 3D stuff?

What about reworking the T5.1 lower bumper to fit a T6????????

Loads of them available I would suggest. I would try but it's not my bag, hence happy to pay for one on the T6

I think if someone was to make a softer edged version of the T6 one, they'd sell by the boat load. Firms have gone to the trouble of making replicas of the OEM, so it can't take much more development to chop up a standard one and reform it to a more pleasing shape with goo and snot to make a mould.
