Hi!
Yesturday i added a led strips to the interior night in the cabinet.
Unfotionetly i hade a shortcut and the interior light went black.
Efter cheking the fuses, no one broken, i tryed to start .
At first it started for like 10 seconds and died, i tryed again and the car was Stone dead, none of the lamps on the dashboard went on, not event a klick from the starter!
I cant finde any fusediagram or location of the Main fuses? Imobilizer?
I disconected the batteri over night to reset the system, hur its the same.
Pleas har any one any ideas!! Need the car daily .

Hi, the main fuse box is in the engine bay, you need to remove the battery to get to it. Others with better electrical knowledge will be along soon but have you checked if the battery is ok, you might have left something connected that has drained it overnight?
Where did you take the feed for the LEDs from?

There are a couple of other fuse boxes located in the van, full diagrams are in the download section, but you do need to be a VIP member to get access to all the forum resources. I think it’s £15 but it’s well worth it for access to all the diagrams and documentation there.

I found this on YouTube which might help

As above, start by checking your starter battery. If you get no lights on dash, headlights, parking lights... difficult to believe the main fuses have blown - that would have been a sparky show...

I also chargd the batteri duering the night...
When i Open the door the door wiew on the screen is on like usual .
I solderd the ledstrip to the interior light in the cabinet.

Yes, but what about the parking lights - do they work? Flash high beam? Can you hook something, e.g. phone charger into cigarette lighter socket - does that work?
Is the above any different if you keep your battery charger connected and thus keeping voltage up?

Change the fuse for the interior lights just in case it has blown
Fuse 5 counting up from the bottom left
It's the 7.5a blade fuse on the bottom above the green square 40a fuse

Thanks! I'm going to look it up straight away!
I'm afraid I maybe placed 1 fuse back in the wrong slot while laying
On the floor testing them.
Did I understand it right that the main fuses are behind the batteri and to get
Access you have to remove the batteri?
Not the ones in front of it in the square box?
The head lights don't work but the reg plate light
And emergency / turninglights work...

I had something similar happen when I blew the internal light fuse, somehow it confused the BCM module.
I was lucky because when I changed the fuse and then turned on the ignition it re-set itself and all was ok.
Someone else advised that if that didn’t work then disconnecting the battery for a few minutes would do a reset.

I hope your fix turns out to be as simple as mine was.

Hi, same issue as you describe and same fix as @Nigel W - blew the 7.5 amp fuse. Once replaced all was fine, much to my relief!

Slots that should have a fuse in will have metal inserts on both sides of the fuseholder but empty slots that didn’t have a fuse in will be empty on one side

Now i have changed the 7.5 fuse and the interior light, including the ledstrip is working fine.
Still not even a click while trying to start.
The 2 keys works and opens and close the doors. power is ower 12,5 V
all main fuses under the batteri are ok, so whats left must be some kind of reley, imobilizer etc.
Before when the car worked normaly the zenon lights went on when unlooking the door, not any more,
but now nothing that started running after turning the ignition on seems too be working.

Oh Doorman I am so sorry and I’m afraid I am not able to help you but there are some very knowledgeable folk on this forum and I am sure someone will be along this evening who understands these things.

My thoughts are you have either moved a fuse to the wrong slot inadvertently powering off a critical circuit or there is another fault you are not aware of
The fuses under the battery will be fine, if you blow these it will take out the entire fusebox and would take a Big Bang to blow them which I think you would know about

I would check and double check the fuses in the dash and make sure they are in the correct slots, anyone in a wrong slot will feel loose as it will only be being held on one side so just run your fingers over them initially and give them a little wiggle and see if any feel loose

Just to clarify, when you turn ignition on do you get all/any warning lights on your instruments?

Starter fuse is at VW T6 Starter fuse 56

Thank you for your suport Nigel!
Just went out and tryed the key and now the zenon lights fiered up when useing the lock buttom,
but still no life.
Does anyone have a diagram ore picture of the location/position of the fuses under the dasch board?
Theres nothing in the instruktionbook or on the cover like in the older cars I've had.

Well after all that fuzz and having the car transported to the lokal wv dealar it
Was a missplaced fuse, just like Pauly thougt.
Up and running again!
Glad it was as simple as that and thanks for letting us know
