T6 V5 Regarding Ferry Crossings

Travelled multiple routes in the Channel with Brittany Ferries. Always selected car for my SWB kombi, then reg which correctly identifies it. Goes through as oversized car which is a small supplement.

We travel with DFDS (albeit Newhaven to Dieppe) and book our LWB van conversion as a large car with no problems.

Our favourite route to France.
If you’re over 60, you can get a 10% discount.
From the website -
"A reduction of 20% is available on the Newhaven-Dieppe route for passengers with a disability, students between the age of 18 to 27, young people between the age of 18 to 25 and seniors over the age of 60 years."

Billy bargain!

It’s 20% as Mrs Bigsi is eligible for the discount. You have to do the booking by phone though. Takes the cheapest fare from £75 down to £60. An absolute bargain.

Excellent! We’ve been members of the CCC for a few years, just for the 10% ferry discount, which just about paid for the CCC membership. But now we’re 60….bye bye CCC and their Obergruppenfuhrer site attendants.
