HOW-TO run engine's built-in test for turbocharger
Engine running
VCDS > Select > Engine > Basic Settings > IDE00457 - Test of turbocharger
Select "Measuring Values"
Pick up e.g. the following data items for monitoring:IDE00021 Engine RPM
IDE07375 Charge pressure before throttle valve: calculated actual value
IDE07783 Turbine actuator 1 bank 1: posit.feedback - Uncnd vlt
IDE07784 Turbine actuator 1 bank 1: posit.feedback - Spec.value
IDE07785 Turbine actuator 1 bank 1: posit.feedback - Act.value
IDE07786 Turbine actuator 1 bank 1: posit.feedback - Offset closed
Select "Log" (if so desired or just monitor the values) > Start (logging)
Select "Go!" (to start the test)
At the time of testing the engine in question has done 100.000 km (60.000 miles).
The test runs actuator/sensor G581 into two different positions. Test takes 60 seconds to complete.
In the initial setup only the two data items were active - obviously need to investigate a bit more to make the recording more useful.
