Hello from sunny Australia. I need some help from my UK brothers please.
I need to fit some 'rated' Recovery Points to my van as I do some beach driving but want to venture further. I have only the standard recovery points (screw in front bumper and rear hook) which I fear will not withstand the pressure of a serious recovery by snatch strap or similar. We only have them in Oz for Amarok but nothing for a T6 2018 4 Motion.
For the rear, I would just fit a standard towbar and add a couple of nice swivel loops to the back face either side and drill large enough holes on the bumper cover to fit over them.
For the front, I would weld a pair of large loops to the subframe and use a webbing bridle that you can loop over your roobar.
I have seen some nice demountable swivels on a jeep wrangler that you could use on the rear these will probably look quite neat.
Gday two heads. I'm from up north in boags country. Have you still got your t6? I get down to st helens a bit from the mainland. See you around one day.

Hello! My name's Leon. I was born and raised in Adelaide but earlier this year had to move to Asia for work. Waiting for me at my garage at home is a 2018 Volkswagen Transporter TDI450 T6 LWB.
Hi there, I just picked up my T6 4motion SWB Transporter yesterday and have been umming and ahhing over racks. Looking at Frontrunner, Rhino (just like yours) or a Tradesman rack.
Was really stoked to see yours. Do you have more photos you could share?
It is a 2728mm x 1465mm Pioneer platform on 4 mounts (cross bars) attached to factory VW roof rails. I also have a front and side rail fitted to slow things sliding forward.
