Tail Gate Struts ? Upgrade.

Need adding Dynamat to tail get today.

Means of course I’ve added weight to it.
Just done the top section. Used 1 sheet so far. I’ve balanced it !

Now it’s very slow to open.
Sounds great though. Lol.

I’ve put a halt on it now till this is answered.

It’s an electric tail gate !

Can I just buy the upgraded struts from the forum shop ?? Please.

Will it have any effect on the electric motor to open and shut the tailgate ??
Or do the struts take the added weight ?

If it’s an electric tailgate you don’t have struts, the struts are the electric motors that lift/lower the tailgate !?

I don’t know, there is a bike rack listed for electric tailgates so it must be able to take the weight, perhaps there are different motors or perhaps it just goes slower ??

I’ll was wondering about California electric then ? Their tail gates got chairs in them !
Possibly I’ve got to buy a pair of them ????
