Tailgate window blind

Hi guys,

I have a 2023 T6.1 ravenna blue panel van with rear glass with a rear fitted camera.

The glass is so clear that any thief can look in. If I had a blind that could fit around the small camera, it would limit the thieves view.

Surely there's a smart effective piece that would around the glass. I may look into tinting the glass at some point. As long as it didn't restrict the cameras recording.

I've googled the above but their doesn't seem anything that I like. Thanks

Hi! Love the van… Ravenna Blue is an awesome colour!
I have a VanShades unit on my tailgate, and the rear facing dashcam is mounted onto the frame, so the camera sits between the glass and the window blind, The camera works fine even with the blind closed. Does that help?

There’s also the California tailgate panel which provides both an integral roller blind and two camping chairs. The rear wiper recess gives enough room for a dash-cam lens to fit.

I followed a 68 plate van down the road last week and noticed it has a roller blind fitted to the tailgate window, I enquired with VW and this is now a standard accessory (as well as side windows), just wondered if anyone has them fitted and could offer photos...I'd like to see some fitted...

Hi there, other option is to have the rear window tinted with a small piece (size of lense) cut out. You can still see out, camera can still work effectively but no one can see in.
