Tailgate Wiper-Motor space

Hi all,

Has anyone got any ideas about what I can do to this area of the van to tidy it up? It's the internal tailgate just under the window, where I think the rear windscreen wiper would go?

I think it looks untidy and curious what other people have done?

Looks like they fitted a ply panel designed for a tailgate with a rear wiper fitted. They should have used a straight cut panel.

If you are looking for an easy solution you could fit the plastic wiper motor cover ?
It uses the motor to clip in so you may need to get creative with a couple of fixings but will fill that area

Looks like they fitted a ply panel designed for a tailgate with a rear wiper fitted. They should have used a straight cut panel.

That’ll probably be the original hardboard panel as mine was that shape even though I didn’t even have a window. I had to replace it with a new piece that was flat.
Just lazy by the sounds of it.

Has anyone made use of the holes on the back of a barn door T6 to do anything useful? I was thinking a coffee holder or phone holder ?

I shaped some timber screwed and glued it in place and carpeted over.

This looks brilliant, really neat job. Could you explain a bit more how you did it please?

Basically just shaped some timber screwed it in place and sikaflexed the edges.let it cure and carpeted the tail gate.
