Yes I reported all the info about the company being dissolved but still advertising via their website and Facebook page which refers to Teahupoo VW Campers (minus the Ltd) but does also link to the website. Thanks for that....very interesting.
Having worked for many years in the legal proffesion I find some of this quite fascinating. In itself its not unusual for a company to be dissolved. There are a variety of different reasons why that may occur. Mostly totally legitimate reasons.
In my experience companies that dissolve but then carry on trading as a sole trader quite often do so for reasons that are lets say less than legitimate. Often being a way of circumventing looming threats.
I refered to viewing their website earlier and on this they refer to themselves as Teahupoo Campers Ltd. A current check of companies house shows that such a company is not registered with them. Teahupoo VW Campers Ltd shows as being dissolved however in May 2024.
So that is my first issue are they claiming to be a limited company when they actually are not.
Secondly the endless list of testimonials I refered to earlier must surely relate to a company that no longer exists.
Yet clearly they are wrongly being used to promote the new business to which clearly they do not relate.
I would suggest those are matters for trading standards.
The application to voluntarily dissolve the company was made the day after I collected my van.
As @JOG says walk away! Or at least have the vehicle thoroughly inspected - and I mean thoroughly, especially the electrics
Maybe keep an eye on the for sale section on here if looking elsewhere. Good luck in your search
