Team Ascot Grey

It really is the finest of all the colours available.

I'm yet to see a van in it that I don't instantly admire.

I thought I’d ask my fellow Ascot grey van owners about my ‘potential’ two tone, lower wrap idea, as you all obviously have a good taste in colour. Ok so I’m thinking of a lower wrap in Keswick green, my favourite Land Rover defender colour, what do you think of the combo? It will be in gloss to look like a paint job .Before we brought the van, I wanted another Defender, sold my old one long ago, she wanted a campervan, we got a campervan, but I’ve slowly been adding “swamper bits” to the van, I don’t think she has noticed..now I’m thinking it’s time to add a little bit of colour, thoughts?

I wouldn't myself, but I am so so boring and enjoy the pure 'putty/primer' effect, but it will be good to see someone do something interesting with an AG! You could start a trend! We tend to be an un-decorated lot!

Yes Ascot grey is such a nice colour, especially when the van is clean and shiny, I’m waiting for a sample of the actual wrap, which could be a tiny fraction lighter, the photo sample above was a rattle can I had mixed, hmm, I’m very tempted to give it a go end of February

Personally, I wouldn't, but completely understand your motivation. I too, owned a defender 90 in British Racing Green. Sold it due to wife not getting on with the clutch in traffic during her commute.

Back to the two tone, if that's what makes you happy and reminds you of the beautiful and majestic thing that is a land rover defender, then I say full steam ahead.

For me, personally, I wouldn't change any of the colour on my van. I've added some black parts here and there to improve the look at the rear (I think ) but would want to two-tone completely. This is obviously just my preference.

Completely down to you what you do, and would certainly look different and potentially pretty cool on a swamper style.

Post some pics if you go down that route, as be great to see what you do.
