A bit of a change to the banded 19s this week.
I spent a day yesterday in my bodyshop prepping the centres for a colour change, just because I fancied a slight change. These took hours to mask up properly, but the effort was well worth it. Matte Black centres and Chrome rims.
They are taking some getting used to after 2 years of full Chrome, but i'm slowly feeling the love.

My bodyshop has a wide choice of Black from super Matte to high Gloss, and these were right at the end of the scale as Matte as possible, to hopefully make the Chrome rims pop more.
I did have to ditch the Chrome VW centre caps, because they didn't work at all, but thankfully I had a spare set of none Chrome caps.
For what it’s worth I think this looks very good. Nicer than the previous just chrome (which in itself looked very good!).

I was offered some very tempting offers, including Transporter HQ offering a set of new Ferrari 458 wheels as a straight swap, but I just couldn't let them go when push came to shove.
There’s only one place for Ferrari wheels and it ain’t on a transporter. Could’ve made a few quid selling them on though!

I wasn't 100% sure on the new look, but since giving the whole van a going over and seeing these things rolling in the reflection of shop windows, I'm starting to like them more and more.

Ever thought of fitting unglazed sliders and going full panel van mode? Your van looks amazing as is but with no windows....
