And first stop is the workshop. We will admit, standard they aren’t the prettiest, however as THQ have proved, these can look pretty cool with the right setup.

So a bit of an update on our Multivan.

Suspension is fitted, and Hunter aligned. Grilles are painted, and side ‘fake’ chrome is removed (not pictured). The original wheels we had lined up are just too aggressive offset, so we’ve ordered some Bola B23 in 20x 8.5 Et50 in gloss gunmetal with a Pirelli PZero 245/40/20 - we’ve gone for this tyre for its low noise of 69db. And most importantly we’ve fitted one of our BOGNOR plates

Yesterday I did close to 200 miles in it with a similar journey today, and despite its odd looks which put a lot of people off, this is an absolute joy to drive and very easy. Lots of great tech onboard- radar cruise with full traffic sign recognition, so it speeds up and slows down as per the correct speed, intelligent headlights, wireless app connect, and keyless to name a few. We averaged over 40mpg on the journey travelling at the correct speeds keeping up with traffic and not trying to be efficient - This was all done starting with a hybrid battery with 1% charge - the way this uses this on a journey is seamless .

Wheels will be with us this week and then we will clean and get some proper pictures and hopefully stop it looking like;

Another demo update, still VW but not a van.

Our TCR is going stage 3……

We are aiming for a very useable cool: ) 480BHP/450ft/LB. These turbos will easily see well over 500BHP, especially with the modifications we already have, but we are looking for reliability and use ability for the many Trackdays we do a year. At this level it doesn't need a forged engine. It will do this all at under 2 bar.

If you don’t know about our TCR, we have owned it from new and it was modified from day one. It’s currently sits at Stage 2 with the following modifications;

So she’s finished and cleaned. Our very high specification is ready to rent. In the past week I’ve covered 800 miles in it and can confirm it is an excellent drive, enhanced further by the KWv3 Coilovers and Bola wheels.

If you can get past the looks and the fact they named it T7 Multivan (should have been Caravelle) this is an excellent vehicle, although pricey( but what isn’t these days?) - this specification which includes the following specification was just under £69,000;

plus 1 this is the new fasion, plus a lot have a strip joining the lights across the rear. Confusing really as a central red light usually means break light!

I totally get your point as I’d rather an RS4 Although not really a like for like vehicle.

All vehicles are so expensive now though….

Looks great. Any advice on lining the load area panels with carpet versus suede liner? Looking to do mine and keen to hear whether one is more durable or easier to keep clean than the other?

Carpet is easier to look after and more durable - We offer. both here, and keep the suede for a more top end finish.
