Team Indium Grey

Just had an email to say my van is at UK port awaiting transportation to the dealership. I'd been told orignally that it would be with me late January but now looking like I'll have it by Christmas. It means I dont have long to finally decide which wheels to buy
Don't forget to post pics!

Christmas may really have come early!
Got a call from my dealer today and unbelievably my Kombi has arrived this afternoon at the actual dealers! Awesome news as far as I'm concerned and way earlier than expected!

Going to check her out tomorrow, do paperwork, pay deposit, pay for the dealer fit bits and then hopefully, sometime next week assuming the bits don't delay proceedings I'll be driving it home!

Wow! So exciting. Xmas morning you will be ignoring the presents and looking out the window! For a good month after I got mine I was up the window every half hour starring at mine lol and still do!

Paperwork sorted, bits ordered, pick her up on the 29th if all goes to plan, can't wait!

One worrying factor though, the insurance quotes I'm getting are ridiculous so far! Seems it's going to be nearly three times as much as my 150bhp KTM 1190 Adventure, which is just bloody mad!

The people I spoke to on the VW insurance leaflet didn't even have the T6 on their system which seems a bit odd?

A-Plan want just shy of £800 which isn't odd, it's daylight robbery!

There's a tread on here somewhere with loads of useful number on it for quotes...

Thanks, I found it and it is very useful, so far NFU at a much more reasonable amount! Definitely worth phoning around, seems there are massive differences.

I'm with A-plan, and I think it was Morpadave that mentioned that his A-plan renewal had gone through the roof. Christ knows why. Hope you get a decent quote sorted before they all close down for Christmas.

Dont forget you get 5 days free insurance from VW when you pick it up so if you get any issues over xmas that will cover you into new year

Thanks Pauly, sorted that, weird that they couldn't do me a quote for the year though?

Looking like it'll be NFU, best so far, although Brentacre were pretty close but their £50 admin fee seems a bit steep to me!
And the NFU give you a years gap insurance rolled in which is a nice touch, although I do find it strange that we have to have insurance for insurance these days!

Pauly is right, an insurance for all occasions! However, after our experience with my Wife's Renault Twingo I would say that where there is an insurer you will find a snake since they all seem to like a lot of wriggle room - lol.
