It's actually just the original plastic trims wrapped with 3M vinyl tape.

It's even surprisingly good up close! The tape is thick enough that the mottled plastic effect is barely noticeable.

Plus it's cheap, easy to do and easy to remove if you wanted to revert to standard or change colour.

Definitely a vulcan, looks like the one at the museum we went to.. It housed the second most completed one. They kept stealing bits out of it to keep the last remaining flying one going.
