Team Starlight Blue

My friend is the best detailer in London and did all my cars/vans and mtb's, always happy with his work. Paint wasn't bad and thats a work van we didn't do paint correction to keep the costs down. Only aplied more protection to help with future maintence. So much easier to wash it now, it will be the cleanest north london's window cleanig van :)

Hi,
Does anyones Starlight blue van scratch really easily?
You almost just have to look at it to scratch it!
Any tips on how to sort light scuffs would be most appreciated.
Thanks

Can't offer any particular solutions, but I have to agree, my SB seems to pick up fine scratches very easily.

Fab looking van. Paintwork looks immaculate, Is it ceramic coated or jusr expertly cleaned?

Cheers, no it’s just well cared for plenty of elbow grease, the colour does look fab though when the sun catches it

I had a Starlight Blue T6 we used for work, I had it for 3 years, only did about 7000 miles, it was garaged in our office and cleaned regularly, The paint wasn't really softer than any other VW paint but it highlighted all the tiny little swirls when in the sunshine. I used KochChemie M3o2 compound and it polished up easily. Did it early summer every year.

Gutted I sold that van now, it went to a converter so hopefully, it's out there being used as a camper.

Permission to join the team please.

Fresh out the oven, off to conversion pastures soon!

Some post conversion pics here now.
Really pleased with the work, wheels and lowering etc will have to wait for the overdraft to recover!
Happy to help anyone with Q’s considering similar, have added a review of the converter (to the “Review a Business” section) too

That looks awesome - just picked up our T6.1 in Starlight blue Redline camper conversion  ping me your guys details as I would like to protect paint work as much as poss....Was very nervy of getting this blue due to scratches / swirling (had a black car previously!!!!)

I recommend PPF all your van, saved my bumper. Only done full front and rear bumpers initially, but now will do all sides too... only top cote ceramic instead of two coats.

New addition to Team Starlight here... if you'll let us in? Picked up this 2017 DSG 4Motion 204 the other week, loving the ride & the colour!
I've added roof & side bars (both in satin black), spoiler arrived today.. will post pics once fitted. This thread is giving me some (costly) wheel inspiration.. was leaning towards black, but now silver or matt bronze... hmmm, most of them look lovely on the SB's!!
