So firstly, silent coating -

And a little mod of the door handles

Also done carbon rear bumper protector and heko wind deflectors !

And built a bike holder too

Wheel arches silent coated also now !

Just trying to sort out a decent price for carpet to be lined in the rear... £700 seems steep to me to have the metal work lined and suede fitted to the panels....

Couple of pictures showing the dodomat roughly installed.... got the tailgate to do, and then just layer it up and cram it in everywhere.

Okay, so tonight I managed to finish off the insulation, and I’ve decided to fit the ply panels, against what the local converter said! (Saying they’d warp in the heat)

Firstly, I am really happy with how quite it is! Only for it to become quieter once carpted! Spot on!!!

And I also fit the ikea bed!! Taken both bars off as it seemed a bloody tight squeeze with just one bar off!

Great pics.
Mine is still in the box in the garage (Never opened). Going to try and find the time to fit it this weekend.

Great to see it in, looks great! Built ours in the kitchen last night! My wheel arches have been boxed with ply so need to remove them before I can put the bed in. Ours will be identical to yours as we have ply panels too - not on the sliding doors, just the rear.
I see you’ve left the front and rear bar off - is it still sturdy enough?

Yes seems sturdy enough! We both lied on it tonight... the wheel arches are doing the job of the bars... I’ve used surfboard straps as my ratchet straps to strap the bed in, and it doesn’t move when I try to rag it back and fourth

And how did you test the ragging back and fourth! :think smile bounce:
Good job, I do like to watch the builds in progress

Love the photos and banter!
We should have a "Ikea Bed Meet" have some meatballs, hot dogs and coffee.

Did you know that a thetford toilet has room to fit behind the drivers seat even when the bed is flat??
Saves running to the loos when it's pee'ing down. Enough Elsan and not a single whif I assure you.

Think I’ll stick with a toilet tent.
Doubt Lady Pippa wants to see me peeing at the bottom of the bed.
Brings back memories of my drunken younger days.

Ps bought some veedub curtains on Black Friday, saved myself £60.. and just need to order suede and fit it over Christmas Hols,

Curtains purchased from veedub and managed to fit the first window, sliding door behind passenger. With a hand from the wench

Curtains up and fitted.

Happen to have paid for the rear 1/4 set of curtains too, so if anyone wants them? You can have the pair for £35.

You can see them sat in the sofa bed

Had the van in the lakes this week, used my bike holder and got up Whinlatter forest north and south loops on Sunday, Plenty of T6s there too in the carpark, and then a little drive along crummock water -

Good work.. Looks like its coming on well.

I am a mountain biker and need to work out the best way to build a camper and give room for the MTB.. Not sure I want to go the bike rack root.. Fancy being able to chuck it in the back.

Rock on roll bed on rails to give me room at the back?

Yeah good shout expensive but if you’re not an apprentice like me you’ll be fine haha.

Could look at bike bags??? Think Davey is selling one on the forum... orrr I haven’t check yet but maybe the bike will fit in when bed is out, sideways behind the seats...
