I am too busy concentrating on the road and my driving to register the breed of vehicle approaching. Therefore I never wave.

I only do it when the road is clear and avoided the potholes -maybe that is why I miss it.

It was more an apology to those that do wave and I miss them - red T6 in Littlehampton around 6.30 am and those between Littlehampton and Shoreham - keep waving - it makes my day

Flash your lights at them and then wave as they get nearer. Works for me.

True - I have LEDs, but that's an expensive upgrade just to get someone's attention.
