Thoughts about removing gas hob / sink combo

We have a self converted campervan, small sink , fixed microwave and no hob.
Reclassified by the dvla back in the day before they got all funny about it
Never been asked whether it has a sink or a hob by any insurance company only 'some' don't cover self conversions .
Interesting point you make though over checking things with your insurance before undertaking such work
I'd have thought removing gas from your would make it safer and therefore less risk for an insurer....but what do I know? 🤷‍♂️
It was @Skyliner33 who originally mentioned insurance which is what made me check.

I agree about less risk but they have their rules. Like if I’d done the work myself they wouldn’t cover me, but they do cover conversions done by the cowboys who did my conversion. I best not tell them I ripped out their dodgy electrics and rewired it all myself and fitting those safety devices called fuses which the converter didn’t think were necessary next to 200amps worth of batteries. Not that they’d ever know as it looks infinitely more professional than it did. This is what it looked like before…I mean what is that?!?
