What do you think of the beam cut off? Do you find it’s very precise but maybe a little too low?I fitted mine today and just had a drive and am finding everything upbove the cut off line is pitch black. I’ve set it up on a beam setter so the height is correct.

Hi all,

Know this is an old thread but not sure how people got on with adjusting these?

I've just fitted some and my beam seems off and I have a rainbow effect? Not sure if this is OK and if not, how to adjust them?

I got these used off Ebay, so I'm hoping they are ok and not faulty.

I've never had projector headlights before.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply.

Have you had any issues with your MOT?

The pattern and rainbow effect at the top might be normal for all I know. I'm used to the standard bulbs/lights and this is a massive change.

That's good to hear. Because I've purchased them used from Ebay, my worry is in 6 months when my MOT is due, I have issues with them. Thanks

Update...

I contacted THQ about the adjusting and they sent me a link to a video on YouTube which really helped. The main reason for the obvious rainbow effect was the bulb wasn't sitting properly in the housing. It's felt fine and clicked and locked in place fine but it was out slightly. The pattern sharpened up after that.

Hi, I have these lights and have fitted some brighter Phillips halogen H7 bulbs, the pattern is awful. It’s got it’s mot soon and I have no idea if the lights are okay as I've been trying all kinds of adjustments. What you have is far better, I think I need to invest in the leds.

I don't have LED's. I have Osram night breakers. H7 and H1. Next best thing I think?

Thanks for getting back to me. I’m not getting as crisp a pattern as you, particularly on the right side. The light in the road is shocking. I think I need to double check the bulb fitting.

I would say it's the fitment. Mine felt like it was seated correctly but it wasn't. Good luck with it.
