Tips for sliding door channels/runners maintenance?

I need to swap over my sliding side door on the van to a Caravelle one tomorrow. Is it a one man job? Difficult to do with social distancing. New door isn’t that heavy.

I haven't done anything yet as I'm still waiting on a response from VW about a possible corrosion warranty claim in that area. Once I know what they will or won't do then I'll take some steps to rectify it

Hello Lumbo, did you get anywhere with VW warranty my t6 is about 6 months out just of warranty, noticed my van has a similar issue, I suspect a stone has caught the roller causing it to scrape a layer of paint off. Tempted to follow the steps John [to the garage] roller replacement by adding a thin layer of paint.

Further update to my previous post! The bottom roller has now completely broke, I was sliding the door on Sunday night, noticed the roller was sticking, applied a serious amount of spray grease, for it to basically explode with tiny ball bearings going everywhere.
Booked in to VW this Friday, I have extended warranty but for a less than 4 year old van I am intrigued to what they will say.

Ok vehicle has now been repaired.
If the vehicle was still within original warranty it would have been covered. The extended warranty will not cover this as it’s classed as body work and susceptible to wear and tear. Very bad design and not fit for purpose. The total cost including fitting was £278 inc vat. I now have another 2 year warranty on that part.
Tempted to complain further to ombudsman as I don’t fee it’s fit for purpose.
But I suspect they will also say it depends how it’s used and it’s the expected life time.
