Top spec highline

Nationwide are good. 11 percent is not great.....i got 18 percent from a broker so it looks like vw are clamping down to protect dealer margins. 18 percent only possible if broker abuses the fleet discount facility.

Try Bognor Motors - excellent reputation and should give you 11 or 12 percent.

He's offered me the fleet discount and that's a further 4k off which is a saving of 10k in total which seems pretty good! 48k down to 38k. That's just over 20 percent.

It was Dominic at Nationwide. Have to say he really helped me with speccing the van. He spent a lot of time going through each individual option and why to choose certain things but not others, so far so good. Now I have to wait until March until it arrives.

Went for -

T32 SWB Kombi Highline 204 TSI Petrol DSG
Pearl Oryx white
Premium Bluetooth
reversing camera with front and rear sensors
side scan sonar and cruise control
LED lights front and rear
Detachable towbar
heated seat
comfort dash
2 usb
electric sliding doors both sides
electric tailgate
app connect
high beam
mud flaps
charcoal canister
airbags all round
4 keys
dust seals
heated and folding mirrors
2.1 rear seats
captain chairs
composition 6.33 media

Soon as I get it, driving it to Raceline/custom vans and will be getting it lowered by 50mm with 20' super V wheels, full leather interior, sound proofed and lined inside. Then probably down to wessex vans for one of their custom beds, fridge, extra battery etc. Then lastly wrapped bottom half in metallic green (vw t6 green) so its two tone.

This is my first transporter pretty stoked about it, my daily drive atm is a passat which has been great so I hope this is a step up.

I haven't driven or sat in a T6 so no idea what to expect but I have heard good things.

Thanks for your advice everyone.

Great spec - quite a wait though? Or you waiting for the new reg? There is something called acoustic pack for more soundproofing I think, and also no navigation?

Im going to wait for the 18 reg. Lead time is 12 to 15 weeks however. I didnt see acoustic pack on the VW list as for Nav I will use my phone via bluetooth. Is the Nav system any good its another 1000 pounds.

I've decided to go with a Alpine x802 unit instead, and not specced App Connect, but did add voice control and the unit you have ordered. The Alpine unit has an 8" screen, but I am a bit of a technology person (I run an IT company) and so like my toys. A lot of people are happy with the Discover system.

The acoustic pack isnt listed but was an option I got, but to be honest not entirely sure what it contains. Code is 3W4 . Doesnt look like you have voice control either which is option QH1, which enables voice control from the steering wheel for Siri etc.

Have a look at the thread from Absolut5 - Alpine X802DU 8” Apple CarPlay, Android Auto headunit

Im bit of a dinosaur when it comes to tech, if I can listen to Radio 2 and use google maps once in a while Im happy. I don't have Siri or voice control so don't know what Im missing. Im happy pressing buttons or using a map book.

Theres me thinking I was down with the kids ordering the next model up on the radio!

well, in which case you'll probably be ok with this. App control should allow you to put google maps onto the screen. I think. Havent got one yet though to try!

I have the composition media unit and you can use app connect or Android auto with it. I have an Android phone and you can use Google maps on screen in the same way you do on the phone. You don't need to spend another 1k for Sat nav.
Voice control wasn't specified on mine but it works through Google. You can ask for directions or for a particular music track. Hope this helps. I have this one pic handy. I can post some photos next time I'm in the car. Van. Whatever ;-)
