One thing I would try before doing the screen replacement is clean the screen parts that are hidden behind the plastic screen surround. Mine had lots of dirt there and the screen was not responding at the edges. The dirt could have been responsible for that. I did however have a spare MIB2 unit, so swapped the whole front panel over. I did apply the new digitiser to the old one. but feel it makes the screen harder to see in bright light. But that's a problem in general due to the angle of the stereo. Adding an oelscopic coating would help as these screens show up all the fingerprints.
