Towbar wiring patch schematic

Hi
I've acquired a towbar without the wiring loom
The bar is all fitted up but I can't buy the wiring kit separately other than direct from VW at a silly price. The van is prewired for towing so I just need to make up the patch which plugs into the 8 and 12 pin VW body plugs.

Does anyone have a diagram of the wiring for the adaptor loom wyr424113r.jpg
That's it in the pic on the right ( well kind of...the small plug is 8 pin VW on the loom)
Thanks

I’m in Australia. The freight alone is £300!
Hence I just need a wiring diagram of the connection patch. Thanks anyway

You will also need the trailer module.
Some terminal definitions to get you going..

NSL = Nebelschlussleuchte = Rear Fog Lights
KZB =license plate illumination

- 55 - Fog lamp
- 56 - Headlamp
- 56a - High beam, high-beam indicator lamp
- 56b - Low beam
- 56d - Headlamp-fl asher contact
- 57a - Parking lamp
- 57L - Parking lamp, left
- 57R - Parking lamp, right
- 58 - Side-marker, tail, license plate, and instrument panel lamps

Thanks Loz
I dont need a module, the van is tow bar ready so no wiring from the front of the van at all.
I can work out all the light connections at the plug no problem.....it's the patch wiring that I need, the integration of the 8 and 12 pin plugs already wired up into the 7 pin trailer plug. Have a look at the loom in the pic that's what i need pls

Did you ever get this sorted? I think I'm in the same position as you and can't source a loom without a control unit for a reasonable price (its just a few wires and plugs!)

Hi all hope you are well. so far I have managed to do all the electrics in the van without much trouble but I have now. trying to do the wire for the tow bar.
This is from the manual....
  • Take the fuse protected wire out of chamber 22 - T5 GP and out of chamber 30 - T6 (terminal 15) and insert i into the 1-pin housing located at the cable harness. Insert the single black / biue wire from the cable set back into chamber 22 on the fuse box holder Now plug the 1-pin housings together.
Can anyone tell me where chamber 22 is and what T5 Gp and chamber 30 T6 mean please.
In the interior fuse box there is two terminals 15.
thanks
kind reagards
JIm
