have you used the supplied bulbs or replaced with other?
THQ fitted for me and I’ve not touched them. Pics are within the thread.
have you used the supplied bulbs or replaced with other?
So to all those who have upgraded to the THQ headlights a couple of questions:
1. Are they a geniune and significant improvement over the original H4s?
2. Are you satisfied/happy with your purchase?
3. Do you consider them a 'good value for money' upgrade?
Why the questions? I'm visiting THQ this week with a view to making a purchase.
TIA
Have you aligned them using the screws on the back? Mine were way out before I adjusted themI've fitted these myself a couple of days ago, a lot better than the standard.
Does anyone else think they're too bright - or not level (sitting high) - I've positioned them a down on the light adjustment but dont feel the light pattern is right. If I crouch down on the drivers side looking at the light it blinding but on the passenger side I'd have to lay down on the floor (if that makes any sense) suppose I need to call in to an MOT place to see if they're aligned properly.
Road signs are illumined when I'm a good 60m away..
Might be just me not being use to a decent light..

It wasn't something I had done before but there are plenty of videos on YouTube explaining howNope...That would be too easy....
I preordered a set of these and have been running them for a few weeks now. They were from THQ and i had many of the same questions that are on this thread as well as some other ones. I have a T6 T32 Euro 5 Kombi and the lights were 100% plug and play with no errors form day one.
The light output from them is much improved over the H4 and yes the low beam goes off with high beam on. I have just driven across Europe and the lights performed faultlessly for the week even with those silly stickers you have to use being on the opposite side of the road.
The fit of the lights is good, i cant say excellent as there is a slightly smaller gap on one side but this could just be my lack of patience / skill at working on cars and its not noticable unless you stare at it for a few hours and get some measuring callipers out
THQ have been ver helpful with me and the service has been excellent from them so just want to say thanks THQ for you explanations and patience with me
The picture is of my H4's (top) and the THQ lights (bottom) in same location both on low beam. Its a bit blurred but you get the idea The THQ lights have a beam that goes further and is brighter in all driving conditions IMOH.

I just got the ones from Halfords, Halfords Headlamp ConvertersFitted a set a couple of months ago and can’t fault them! Off to Europe in May, which stickers did you go for to keep from dazzling? Thanks in advance for your help.
Hi, been reading this thread and if you stick to a H4, would it be possible to put a high power H4 bulb (100/90 w) into the standard unit at $5.99Not sure it will get feisty...
I think its a personal choice, that if you want the full advantage of both H7s lit when on main beam you will want to do the programming mod (unless you achieve this with wiring changes).
If you're happy with a single lamp on high beam then you might as well stick to the H4s and save the money..
I think the loom hasn’t been developed yet and working fully. Still VCDS is the best optionIt's the wiring I'd be more worried about, modern harnesses run the minimum gauge of wire for the job. I ran HID bulbs in my H4 units which are reported to run much hotter than halogens and there was no damage at all. I only ran those until I could get some legal units that allowed me to see in the dark though. You could always make up a relay harness to run higher watt bulbs........and on that note, did anyone ever receive the new harnesses for the THQ light units? I'm interested to see if they ran a relay to get H1 and H7 working together for main beam.
That is what I was thinking. Just mentioned it to see if anyone had tried it. ThanksIt's the wiring I'd be more worried about, modern harnesses run the minimum gauge of wire for the job. iHi Guys.
I have a T6 and need to upgrade the lights.
This has been an excellent read, however I'm still a bit confused, so if I let you know what I want could someone explain what I need to get.
I need brightest lights possible , which are legal, (still unsure if dipped beam needs to be on with main to pass MOT) and solid DLR lights would be nice.
The reason I ask is because many of you have now fitted something, and are happy, but my confusions comes in with H1, H7, LED, (untidy wiring) etc, and not sure whether to go with Travelin lite THQ or anyone else
I've been quoted £90.00 plus vat to fit them, which seems steep, what do you think?
Any advice would be appreciated
If you are looking for the brightest lights possible then you should go for genuine VW LED headlamps retrofit.Good question, I thought the only real option was headlamp upgrade,as this would give me the LED strip for DRLs.
Are you saying I could just upgrade bulbs, and keep standard DRLs, i.e. no LED strip for DRLs?,if so this would be cheaper, but not what I really want, as I like the look of the LED strips.
Ok for that price then maybe I wont have the brightest lights possible.
If I change the headlights, which one ( TransporterHQ, Travelinlite, VanTech, etc do I go for), and do I then need/add different bulbs, e.g. H1 and H7
