Trip to the Isle of Skye

We are off to Skye in May and we are planning to stop overnight on the way near Pitlochry.
Any suggestions for a campsite with a pub near by to eat or a Brit Stop?
TIA for any ideas.

We have a place we share with the family further out on South Uist - I don't have a huge knowledge of Skye but you're arriving in the early part of midge season so may find the west coast a little less annoying for the little wee buggers as the prevailing sea breeze from the West/North West keeps them at bay somewhat.

If you can go a bit further north there are campsites at Kingussie or Aviemore which are on the edge of town and close to pubs, cafes, restaurants etc.

As above but it’s called Faskally.
It’s 2 mins drive from the A9 at Pitlochry.
It’s a decent site with a decent pub with a nice walk down to the river Gary.
Here’s a pin for location.
I’ve got some cracking free camping spots on Skye if you’re interested pm me.

We stayed for 4 nights at the Caravan and camping club site in Portree. A good base to travel daily to the various sights of Skye. No issues travelling on 20" wheels, Waze was pretty good with pothole warnings!
Just hope your weather will be better than ours was!
Amazing and beautiful place, even with shocking weather!

If Faskally is full try Grandtully station campsite.
It’s 10 mins detour off the A9 before Pitlochry.
Theres a pub and a highly recommended (by a pal) restaurant.
They hold the white water kayak events there on the Tay.
If you fancy a bit longer of a detour off the A9 head to loch Tay.
I’ve got lots of amazing places to visit there.
Secret caves in the hillside over looking waterfalls and the oldest tree in Europe to name a couple.

Thanks Gordon, I've been looking at that one, looks promising.

Hi.
While Scottish Islands are being talked about could anyone recommend a few camp sites on Mull please as we are hoping to get up there this year sometime, any ferry advice as well would be gratefully recieved.
Thanks
