And new Bonnet scoop to keep cold air to intake at all time!

Is that just a cone fitted to the MAF? Any difference with just that?
Might try get a standard DP to gut the precat, cone filter and intercooler then map. Surely that will be low 300bhp?
Trying to budget around £1000 for this.

Yes about an extra 10bhp, as it made about 4o6 with air box open, I've put a bonnet scoop directly above filter so cold intake constant for long runs on track,

Have you spoken to Paul at VAS works. He runs a High BHP TSi demo and I’m sure he had developed an intake. Also check out Alex at AKS Tuning. He brought my old TSI and presently building a monster out of it 500ps+

So been looking into this. I'll be staying with standard turbo but would like to do add some other tweaks then I will get custom remap by MRC Scotland.
So for the intake it seems there is the option to put a cone filter on the current MAF but I have also been in contact with VAS Works who sell one, will get more info tomorrow.

They also sell the downpipe but not sure if its catless or size. That or gut a standard one, any idea on a price for standard one? Does it have two cats? I'll be keeping standard cat back exhaust.

Lastly intercooler and boost pipes. Are these required or are the standard items good enough for what I'm doing? It's good £700-800 for these so if not really required it helps.

Spoke to VAS, nice guys there. The intake they do is tweeked to fit the van you have as apparently everyone they have done has required a bit of work to fit right, therefore you have to visit them for fitting. The DP they have is straight from turbo back and 3in. It is full decat.

They said on std turbo they run hot with a map so I think for longevity an intercooler and maybe gutting precat will help. Only concern is emissions affect with gutting precat. They said on back to back test the Forge did run coolest intake temps vs Wagner. Wagners do appear to be better made though.

At the moment Im probably going to go with, straight cone or panel filter on stock intake pipe, stock exhaust, Forge intercooler, forge boost pipes then custom map from MRC Scotland as that will include RR graphs etc.

Ace, must be fun to drive. After a few messages to Cartzski I ordered up Wagner intercooler and Forge boost pipes last night. Wish they did them with no branding, I want to keep it as stock looking as possible.
I might attempt the gutted downpipe and Im going to try an airbox mod again to keep it all looking stock. Really fancy a sleeper (not in the camper sense) van.

Hi, I’ve just switched from a t6 180 high line to a 204tsi dsg. I’ve spoken with VAS works and debating going for the upgrade to get it running 400bhp. Probably a daft question, but has anyone done a 0-60 run and timed it? I timed mine the other day and was getting 7.4 but found that I lost so much time because it took around a second to get off the mark. Also VAS we’re saying it tops out around 410bhp unless you do more bits, does anyone know what those bits are? Thanks

Hi, I dare say your looking at a turbo, injector change for that along with downpipe gut or change. Have you bought anything yet? I have a Wagner intercooler and Forge boost pipes (still waiting on these) that I might sell on as my plans are possibly changing.

Hi All

Anyone got experience with these lumps. I have more modifications going on mine and want to see if anyone else has the same and experienced any issues.

What I have (Mechanical Only)
1. Revo Stage 1 = 289BHP on the rollers
2. Miltek Exhaust system
3. CVT Air ride

What i am getting
1. Revo Stage 2
2. Sports Cat (200 Cell)
3. Custom Down Pipe
4. Filter
5. Forge BOV
6. Forge Boost Hoses

My main issue is the lack of info on the Forge BOV. I looked at the turbo today and for the life of me can not see how to fit the darn thing. So tight back there and the lack of access is mad.

Mant Thanks

Lewis

Hi, are you able to advise me what sports cat you purchased please? Also from the other messages you had to cut the original flanges from the old cat and have them welded to the new one ? Thanks

I believe that VAS also do DP but when I asked they make it to the van as there almost custom fit to each one.

I also believe that the standard one with the precat removed is almost as good and a a hell of a lot cheaper (see photos below). I have the Wagner intercooler and forge boost hoses on mine, note Wagner have been around a while and IMO are better quality than Forge. When getting mine mapped the IAT were logged and were very low.
