Uncomfortable double-seat

Fitted the reclining bracket last week. £150. First time out the wife hates it.
My Mrs too.
For anyone thinking of installing this bracket put the drivers seat at around 11 degrees, ask yourself and the Mrs, kids etc, what they think. Yes it offers immediate relief from the bench seat but this soon wears off as the back / neck angles start to impact your posture and comfort.

Is this with a swivel under the seat? My theory is that they are linked, height off the floor and recline, in terms of comfort

For my T6, I simply want to make the twin passenger seat slightly more comfortable in terms of back support incline, but I read here that some people don't like the extra recline angle that the Vankraft bracket provides? Any body know of the washer thickness required to place on the studs under the front of the twin passenger seat base?

Do the VW folding brackets enable any improvement in terms of back rest angle? Not looking for much recline at all. Benefits of it being able to fold flat more important to us. Anyone know of a good pre-used VW (or Vankraft) bracket up for sale at a reasonable price???

Thanks folks...

Just get any old washers of the right diameter and then use multiples to make the right stack height. On mine each washer is about 1mm thick, I used 4 on each stud, you just need to ensure there is some thread (at least 1 turn) showing through the bolt after you have done it back up.

@dubLU, @Andysmee . We're all different but my personal experience after a few thousand miles in the passenger seat of mine modified with the Vankraft folding/reclined bracket and kiravans swivel is that it's a comfortable place top be, even after consecutive long days in it and certainly far better that without the seat bracket - sorry but I can't comment on before and after with the Kiravans base as it came with the van when I bought it. I'm just over 6' (and shrinking with age!!) but my wife is around 5'6" and she happens to agree with me.
@Doodlebug. Why not put a plea out on here and you might be lucky enough to find another member nearish to you with a modified seat who's willing to let you try it for size.

Sorry but I'm not qualified to comment on anything other than Kiravans and Vankraft.

Not sure what make my swivel is, the bracket is Vankraft. In use, when facing forward, the 12 degree angle forces the back and neck into positions that do lead to discomfort. Your eye line is at the bottom of the visor when down, not good for a passenger who likes to be road alert or suffers travel sickness, but good for snoozing. This may be our experience because of our age or the particular swivel we have.
In use, when swivelled around, we have found that keeping the seat folded is more useful. Neither of us mind just plonking our butts on the bench without the back upright. Again the angle of the back rest when up and facing into the van we find un-natural.
We have noticed damage to the seat back cover caused by the teeth the are exposed and catch the fabric as the seat is folded. Pulling on the fabric as we collapse and erect the back has stopped the damage worsening.
Folding the bench flat is essential for us, the upright back of the factory bench is poor. The Vankraft solution for us isn't right but is the lesser of evils.

Fitted the vankraft bracket, the wife hates it. The extra angle means the bottom of the back rest creates a lump in the bottom of your back. I tried it and I agree. Choices.. trim the backrest foam, remove the "lump".. risk the seat cover being slightly loose, I have a spare.. or put it back to standard. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I had this bracket fitted to my double. Made a big difference in comfort and space. It's also for sale if anyone wants it!
