Unknown light

Post conversion question. From a newbie.
Does anyone know what this light is for?
Red led stays on constantly when ignition is on or off.
Solid light, and (what it looks like) two silver connectors/prongs.


Insert looks too big for the key.
Taken switch out to see if there are any branding, but nothing.
Have tried to search google but nothing useless came back.

Definitely. Have exactly the same on our Polo.

Thanks, any idea what the brand is? I may want to see if it’s worth anything or to repair/replace it. Thanks

Doubtful. I’ll take a photo of the fob when I get home. Was on the vehicle when we got it.
