Do you have some voltage on the Yellow socket?
My usb hub is only charging the phone.
Is it possible that I do not have an activated usb port?

I forgot to add that on the green input (green socket) in the usb hub has more than two volts.

This is mib2 high from audi a3 8v. That Yellow fakra connector is usb.

I checked the unit's coding but it seems fine. It seems to me that the problem may be in the connection itself, but I have two different pinout and I do not know which is correct.

Could anyone help with the power install for this as my attempt is currently not working (I haven't got a volt meter to check the second hand splitter as the video above, which I now I should have done prior to
).
I've installed the splitter (it currently sits behind the glove box) and both USB and MIB cables.
It's a bit awkward the fuse box position but the 12v is piggy-backed onto fuse 7.5A below SC18 (I've also successfully piggy-backed the glovebox light here, with the kit purchased from @saxoboy, so there is power via this fuse). It's correctly earthed to a chassis point. I have no idea where the 5V trigger cable goes. Does anyone know? I've upgraded to the comfort dash too, which I've had out about 3 times now so hoping time 4 does the trick.
I've recently moved from A13 corridor in Essex to near Lowestoft so if anyone knows a good vehicle electrician around here that would be really useful.

As a footnote the factory glovebox USB connection to the MIB hasn't worked since I bought the van (second hand), so I can't rule out the MIB port there isn't faulty. I'm only going through this whole faff as I want to connect to Android Auto - the factory nav is just a tad rubbish in my opinion.

Thanks @Deaky. I had to look up quadlock . That goes to the back of the head unit right? Any particular one? Excuse the naivety, I've only done the upholstery face-lift so far, no electrics bar the Alpines.
