Vancraft folding bench hinge

Went to Vancraft and had a folding seat bracket fitted highly recommend this, complete game changer and Gordon is a very knowledgeable and helpful chap

Went for the 5 degree one the 10 degree one seems to much for me intrudes to much in the rear aswell

Is that so that the rear of the bench seats leans a little further back

yes much comfier angle than the standard one also gives you lots more room when its folded

Not all bench seats fold forward the new bracket allows non folding seats to fold

I think the 5 degree is perfect it takes away that sitting bolt upright position, for me the 10 leant to far back and is prob not a good posture the other thing is it leans to far back into the rear obstructing entrance even more

Thanks for your quick reply, I appreciate it. Those were my thoughts. I went as far as making a angle bevel out of timber and setting the drivers seat an extra 10 degrees past the current passenger seats. A bit OTT perhaps, but generally everything I buy without thinking is wrong so needed to check. I felt it was too much and so did the wife. 5 degrees felt OK and much like my natural driving position.
Primarily getting it for the fold down, but that extra bit of recline would be nice. Cheers

I've 2 young girls and id like to make the driving experience from the passenger bench seat a bit more comfortable for them as we plan to venture further afield.
I've seen the Vankraft hinge upgrade that allows more recline. It's not cheap, but looks well made and im willing to pay the price of it does make a significant difference.
So ideally im looking for people who have fitted the hinge to give me a tried and tested review of it. Is it worth doing comfort wise?

Fitted, removed and sold. The 10 degree is too much, if I were to do again, go for the 5 degree version

Fitted and kept - both my wife and I reckon it's a great improvement over the OEM kit.

Fitted 10 degree. Transformative! Could not do without this. Simple and easy to fit.

Fitted 5 degree and a perfect seat for younger kids. I have the seat on a Vankraft swivel base which is great but to be honest in hindsight i would
have just got the hinge. Well worth the money.
