Vancraft folding bench hinge

Thanks for the input guys. I currently have a rusty lee twin swivel base, and i really dont like it. Im going to get one of these hinges and remove the swivel base.

I have just tried fitting the vankraft 10 degree version, the OEM version already folded forward which seems to have a different bolt in one of the seat back fixings and it does not work with the vankraft bracket as the bolt is very different

As you can see on the vankraft bracket the bolt sits proud but OEM sits flush

I have emailed vankraft for advice on this but figured I would share in case anyone with a folding OEM bench seat is thinking of going the vankraft route - it’s worth checking your bench before ordering bro check if you have the same bolt as in the image

I've 2 young girls and id like to make the driving experience from the passenger bench seat a bit more comfortable for them as we plan to venture further afield.
I've seen the Vankraft hinge upgrade that allows more recline. It's not cheap, but looks well made and im willing to pay the price of it does make a significant difference.
So ideally im looking for people who have fitted the hinge to give me a tried and tested review of it. Is it worth doing comfort wise?

Fitted and a game changer 5 degrees not only that when we park up drop the seat easy to get in the poptop plus adds storage area for bags ect
Would be without it
If you are fitting yourself insert the ply timber in the back and make sure you don’t lose the inset rings on the side brackets

I emailed Gordon at Vankraft and he sent a new multispline bolt out the next day - fitted successfully and the wife is much happier now
