Vehicle battery

Hi everyone
New to campervan life.
I drained vehicle battery on a trip last week and had to be jump started.
Battery health was not great so replaced the battery.
Now on the ec50 control panel in back it still says vehicle battery is low?
Any ideas??
Maybe blown fuse or something needs reset?
Any advice appreciated

If you are a start stop system unless you reset the battery health data the van will still be adapting to the new battery - takes a while if the previous battery was aged and had reduced capacity.

Don't trust the basic displays get something that will show the actual voltage and you can judge state of charge much better.

What was the original battery and the replacement spec? You really need to update the power management via VDCS rather than expect the van to relearn.

If you had the battery fitted by a battery specialist they should have entered the new battery.
If not you can do this with Carista.
I have an EC50, it’s accurate but not a voltmeter.
Check for a poor connection that was disturbed during the battery renewal.

I will try all of the suggestions. I’m sure it’s nothing to worry about but I still have a lot to learn about all the operating systems.

I got one of these which plugs into 12v sockets and agrees with Carista on the voltage but the temp is a bit out there sometimes. 12v socket battery tester

That’s not a battery tester, it’s a charger with a voltmeter and thermometer.
If you want to test a battery you need specialist equipment, battery specialists will do this for approx’ £20 but you may need to leave the battery with them.

Yes - you are right.
But it does give the same reading as the Carista which gives the reading that the van thinks the battery is at.

The thermometer is a bit crap.
