Has it always done this or is this a recent development?
How old is your vehicle and which map version do you have?
sorry for all the questions - if it was me I would update to the latest map as I think the very early versions did have a postcode problem. It’s a free download.

Post a few pics of the satnav and map version.
It’ll be within the settings - a release date / number - like that in this post. Take a photo to upload it here and we can help diagnose
When you say sometimes, is that using the same postcode?

I'm sure it's been asked a thousand times, but I'd like to know how to update my Satnav as it says 2016 when it fires up. I was hoping it could be done via the house wifi, but had no joy .. it could never just be that simple!
So there’s a chance the postcode isn’t in the nav database?
Try the software update and see if the problem is rectified
May be I've missed something but mine only works with a part post code (4 characters), put a full post code and it throws an error. Just thought that's how it was (shit)?
