Vw t6 trying to fit an amp

So I found an amp knocking about in my garage that I knew was working, off I then went to buy a wiring kit, so I took my time in routing all the wires to find out it had no power, out came the multimeter and I tested that from the battery which confirmed the multimeter is working.

so my next thoughts was to test the positive cable which had power from both sides of the fuse, however no power in the back, just to double check annoyingly I had to uninstall the 12v+ wire to have it back in the front by the battery. So when I test the 12v + wire using the - on the battery I have power running through the cable. Which then makes me think it’s my earth strap off of the seat base, so I’ve undone that and tried earthing off of other earth points I know work but I still have no power only when I connect using the minus on the battery, in the meantime I’m currently pulling out my hair, biting my nails and I got not the slightest clue why I’m getting this issue can somebody please help me?
thank you

Post a few pics of the connections and meter readings.

What about the amp remote terminal? - where you getting that from?

What radio? And amp?.... RCA?. High level?

You using ISO conector to break out the speaker terminals?

Or is this just for a Sub?
