Hi looking for some advice,

So my T6 2016 shuttle broken down on my wife. She said coil light started flashing she lost all power and soon as got to low speed it cut out and will not start.

Things checked so far,
Scanned no codes.
Checked cambelt looks ok.
Checked the HPFP regulator functions ok no metal filings on mesh.
Changed the fuel filter.

Where should I go next any help is appreciated.

Cheers Craig

Got any access to vcds scan data?

Look for cam and crank RPM signal.

Look for fuel rail pressure build up under cranking.

Does it turn over ok?

Will it try to start if you give it a wiff of easy start?

When you changed the fuel filter did the old one appear full of diesel?

Not necessarily but I read it’s a sign if there is metal filings in there the pumps on it’s way or bad. I’m no expert by any means just trying to eliminate what I can to cut the garage time down if I can’t resolve.

Good evening Craig, what engine is in your T6 ? with regards to trying easy start, have you got an aerosol can of brake cleaner ? If so try spraying a stream of that into the air intake, whilst getting someone to crank the engine if you can, PS remove the air filter element first if you can, brake cleaner is a good substitute for Easy Start

Hope this helps

Hi Dell the engine started with spray but cut out. Please any advice

Did it cut out after you stopped spraying? Or cut out and won't start again even if you spray more in?

When you use the spray, all your doing is checking the integrity of the engine to rule out serious engine issues. It will only run for as long as it is fed the spray.

Your fuel pressure is reading low on the above data you have. Was that data taken whilst cranking the engine?
