VW warranty and breakdown cover.

Hi all.
If your vehicle is still under warranty with VW and you breakdown or need road side assistance , is it included / free under the warranty?
I’m heading to Europe in July, and I expect nothing to Happen , but just wondered if I needed assistance would I get it ?

I was reading the terms on the extended warranty and that covers you for assistance in Europe so I'd imagine the regular warranty would.

Yes. From new you have three years warranty and three years roadside assistance including full European.

It’s also included in the extended warranty under the all in plan, I called VW last summer and they confirmed this

Thanks everyone, I only questioned it because I was Watching a walk around video of a new california and the sales person said 3 years warranty and 12 months breakdown cover is included, didn’t make sense, So made me think…

Just a point though.
Usually, a European customer buying a VW only gets TWO years warranty.

When I had a problem in Spain during my 3rd year of ownership, the local dealership had to ring VW to confirm before they’d do any work.

Not a big deal but something that you might need to be aware of should you need their service abroad.
